In eerste oogopslag doet &ZO meer aan als een danscafé dan een club. Maar schijn bedriegt, deze place-tobeis zeker niet te vergelijken met de kroegen in Groningen.Het licht en geluidssysteem is zeer goed, het interieur ziet er strak uit met moderne aspecten en sfeervolle kleurenverlichting. Er reizen regelmatig beroemde dj’s naar het hoge noorden om hier te draaien. Salsaliefhebbers veroveren er ook regelmatig de dansvloer tijdens de speciale cursussen en Latin optredens. &ZO slaat een brug tussen een klassiek café en een moderne club. Die opzet lijkt geslaagd. Het is er wekelijks volle bak. Niet voor niets is het de ‘Talk of the town.’
