In 2007 moest de populaire discotheek The Challenge onverhoopt de deuren sluiten omdat het niet aan de veiligheidseisen voldeed. Maar in 2009 wordt de club heropend onder de nieuwe naam Challenge 2.0. Het pand heeft een grondige restyling ondergaan en is er niet alleen qua uiterlijk flink op vooruitgegaan. Het is ook één van de meest veilige clubs van Nederland. Safety First. De bezoekers zijn alleen welkom met een speciaal pasje. Eenmaal binnen kun je alles verwachten.
Vanwege de brede programmering spreekt Challenge 2.0 namelijk zeer veel clubbers aan. De doorstart is een doorslaand succes. Niet alleen vanwege de danceparty’s, maar ook omdat er veel business events worden georganiseerd.
