Ooit opgericht als verzamelplek voor de Nijmeegse hippies in de sixties, is Doornroosje tegenwoordig een bijzonder poppodium met een bijzondere allure. Geen gelikte inrichting, glimmende dansvloer en zoetsappige cocktails, maar een
basic inrichting zonder al te veel poespas en buitenmuren die volledig zijn opgefleurd door graffitiartiesten. Het past helemaal bij de beroemde eigenwijze en progressieve dance programmering die alom wordt bejubeld. Zeker omdat ‘Roosje’ er vaak als eerste bij is om de artiesten van de toekomst een respectabele kans te geven. Veel internationale technogrootheden hebben hier hun Nederlandse debuut gemaakt.

Voor dance-avonden van Doornroosje/Merleyn geldt een minimumleeftijd van 16 jaar. Op verzoek moet een identiteitsbewijs getoond kunnen worden.
Wij schenken geen alcohol aan personen jonger dan 16 jaar en geen sterke drank aan personen jonger dan 18 jaar.
In Doornroosje/Merleyn is de handel in soft- en harddrugs in verboden, evenals het gebruik van harddrugs.
Het is niet toegestaan messen, wapens, glas en blik mee naar binnen te nemen. In verband met de veiligheid van ons publiek, kan er bij de toegang tot Doornroosje/Merleyn worden gefouilleerd.
Doornroosje ligt midden in een woonwijk en heeft geen eigen parkeerplaats. Ook bij Merleyn moet met omwonenden rekening worden gehouden. Om zo min mogelijk overlast voor de buurtbewoners te veroorzaken, verzoeken we je nadrukkelijk, je aan de volgende regels te houden:
* Parkeer je auto alleen in de daarvoor bestemde vakken.
* Zorg bij vertrek voor zo min mogelijk geluidsoverlast.
* Laat geen rommel achter op straat of in de wijk.
Flessen, glazen en bekers mogen niet naar buiten worden meegenomen.
Wie tijdens een activiteit het pand verlaat, zal opnieuw moeten betalen om weer naar binnen te mogen.
Roken is uitsluitend toegestaan in de daarvoor bestemde rookruimtes.
Fotografie, film en muziekopnames zonder nadrukkelijke toestemming zijn niet toegestaan.
