Ooit begonnen als een laagdrempelig cultureel ontmoetingscentrum, is de
Melkweg sinds jaar en dag één van de belangrijkste peilers van de Nederlandse pop- en cultuurpodia met een open-minded publiek. En niet te vergeten, het is ook een platform waar wekelijks verrassende en succesvolle clubnights plaatsvinden, met onder meer hiphop, techno, house, drum ’n bass en dubstep. Vooral sinds
de dance events onder de naam Klinch worden geprogrammeerd is de kwaliteit van de programmering alleen maar beter geworden. Melkweg heeft de allure van een zwetende club. Niet alleen de grote dj’s der aarde worden uitgenodigd, het publiek wordt ook regelmatig verrast door talentvolle groeibriljanten achter de draaitafels en events waar nog onbekende dancelabels in de spotlights staan. In Melkweg geen
hapklare brokken, niet-standaard beats gaan erin als zoete koek.
