Patronaat is al meer dan 25 jaar een zeer gerespecteerd poppodium in Haarlem. Op donderdag- vrijdagen zaterdagavonden zijn er zeer diverse clubevenementen met veel verschillende muziekstijlen. Van electro, hardstyle, urban, techno, house, drum ‘n bass en dubstep tot aan de hits van de jaren tachtig en negentig. De voormalige jongensschool aan de Zijlsingel heeft in 2003 een ingrijpende verbouwing
ondergaan. Het resultaat mag er zijn. Door het gebruik van veel glas, licht en open ruimtes is Patronaat een architectonisch monument met een innovatieve en transparante uitstraling. Dat het poppodium het in al die jaren goed doet blijkt wel
uit de verschillende prijzen die Patronaat in de wacht heeft gesleept.
